About Me

Hi all! My name is Asher Connelly. I am currently 20 years old and a second-year student studying at Linn Benton CC and Oregon State University. My hope is to begin a career working as a financial analyst and investment banker post-graduation. 

I was encouraged to enroll in this course due to my interest in learning the fundamentals behind effective business strategies and learning how to connect consumers to the brand behind the product. Although I am currently studying as a business major in the financial field, I have great interest in working in the media and marketing sides of a business. I am most fascinated by the science of marketing and how effective marketing can draw in new traffic and audiences and lead to developing relationships between customers and a company. The ability to strongly market your brand is an important backbone for all businesses and something I feel that is often overlooked. 

Outside of college, I have interests in graphic design and social media, as well as working on various cars and trucks. I have experience creating digital media in the form of graphics and videos for my high school and sports teams as well as currently working with a fraternity to create social media posts. Cars and trucks are a weighing obsession of mine. I’m a self-taught mechanic and have a deep passion for working on vehicles. 

I look forward to getting to learn and develop various marketing skills from this class and its contents.
